Week 2: What I accomplished and what I didn't accomplish.

I’m satisfied of what I accomplished this week, I learned and discovered a lot about the origin of coffee and the recycle system of the capsules and aluminium. I talked with my friends and family and I discovered that they are very enthusiastic about this topic. My family lives near Amsterdam and like me they are able to use the recycle system that Nespresso offers. They also believe that it would be much better if they could recycle the capsules earlier than waiting to accumulate the required amount of 200 capsules. The family of my partner lives in Italy, in a little town in the south of Italy, and what surprised me is that the recycle system of the capsules does not work in the smaller villages of Italy.

If you want to recycle the capsules, Nespresso doesn’t offer the pick up delivery of the capsules. The only option is to find the Nespresso boutique. Usually, these are only in the bigger cities, and they might be a few hours drive away.

This is not so convenient for the coffee consumers. So in Italy this service doesn’t work as well as in the UK.

This things made me reflect a lot about this problem and I discovered that the aim of my project is a very relevant problem not only in big cities, but especially in the villages.

What I also liked very much this week, was analysing the capsules and try to create something new with this capsules.

What I didn’t accomplished very well this week are is to attend the course on Coursera. Fortunately this course is not live and I can fallow the lessons when I want.
